SUBJECT: Request for the County to adopt Maruti's SSPP and approve Maruti's
adoption of the County's SPP

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: In compliance with Chapter 41-90 of the Florida Administrative
Code (FAC), Maruti Fleet & Management has prepared its required System Safety Program Plan
(SSPP) which is required to be adopted by Okaloosa County's Transit System. Maruti also has
adopted the County's System Security Plan.
BACKGROUND: Maruti Fleet & Management has prepared its required SSPP in accordance
with Chapter 14-90, FAC. The Plan has been reviewed and approved by the Florida Department
of Transportation (FDOT), and must now be adopted by the Board of County Commissioners.
Maruti Fleet & Management will train its employees on the duties and responsibilities of the
SSPP in accordance with 14-90, FAC.
Maruti Fleet & Management has also adopted the County's recently adopted System Security
Plan (SPP) as provided in the attached letter.
OPTIONS: Approve or not approve Maruti Fleet & Management System Safety Program Plan
(SSPP) and Maruti's adoption of the County's System Security Plan (SPP).
RECOMMENDATIONS: Growth Management recommends that the Board of County
Commissioners adopt Maruti's SSPP and approve Maruti's adoption of the County's SPP.
