DATE: January 20, 2015
TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board
FROM: Jason Autrey
SUBJECT: Martin Luther King Jr Blvd Resurfacing Task Order Extension
DEPARTMENT: Public Works
BCC DISTRICT: 4
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Due to additional time required to complete the design, bid package
and specifications for the Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. resurfacing project, the parent contract and

BACKGROUND: Task Order 66 with HDR Engineering, Inc. (Contract C1346) was previously
extended with an end date of September 30, 2014. An additional 9 month extension with an end
date of June 30, 2015 is being requested. This request is for additional time only and does not
increase the original Not-To-Exceed amount of $136,413.00.
The parent contract will be amended with an additional extension and will reflect the specific task
order requiring the additional time. The task order will be completed as written and paid at the rates
so established under the parent contract from which the task order was written. No new work will
be assigned under the task order and the parent contract will expire when work under the assigned
