STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of the First Amendment to the Preble-Rish, Inc.
contract. (C14-2081-PW)
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On October 3, 2013 the Board approved a contract with
Preble-Rish, Inc.. for engineering consulting services. The contract expires on September 30,
2016 but allows for three (3) one (1) year renewals. Preble-Rish, Inc. has agreed to a one (1)
year renewal to extend the expiration date through September 30, 2017. Recent legislative action
requires that language regarding public records request be added to all contracts that will be valid
after July 1, 2016. Staff is incorporating the language as an amendment and including the
contract renewal option within the document. Staff requests Board authorization for the
Chairman to sign the amendment.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny the First Amendment to the Preble-Rish, Inc. contract for
engineering consulting services and authorize Chairman to sign the document.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the First Amendment to the Preble-
Rish, Inc. contract for engineering consulting services and authorize Chairman to sign the
document.
