Okaloosa County School District is participating in the state textbook adoption process in English Language Arts. This public hearing is
requested for the adoption of Benchmark Advance for K-5 ELA classes. Materials on the state short list were reviewed by two sub-
committees K-2 and 3-5. Two publishers were selected to move forward to be voted upon at the school level. Although there was no
requirement that the same program be chosen for both groups, Benchmark was selected for both K-2 and 3-5; thus, making it a K-5
adoption.
The textbook adoption information with the public review link below was placed on the Okaloosa School District Website on February 23.
