August 4, 2015 Okaloosa County Board of Commissioners 1804 Lewis Turner Blvd Suite 100 Fort Walton Beach, Florida Dear Ms. Calderon We respectfully request a county permit for our 9km road race in memory of CMSAF James C. Binnicker. CMSAF Binnicker was the CEO and President of this organization for over 15 years, but sadly passed away this past spring. The race is scheduled for 29 August 2015, starting at 7:00 a.m. and will run through the neighborhoods of Poquito Bayou in Shalimar (see attached map) as well as on the Bob Hope Village Campus. We expect the race attendance to be about 400 runners. The race should be finished NLT 8:30 a.m. that morning. We will have volunteers supporting the race along the course as traffic safety and to provide water to the runners. We will not be soliciting funds along the route. Any interested runners will sign up and donate on active.com site. All proceeds of this race will go to the Air Force Enlisted Village to care for the 527 widows, widowers and family members of retired military personnel living at Bob Hope Village.
