Subject: FY16 Rd Tractor Recommendation
Jack,
I have reviewed bids received for RFB PW 20-16 and recommend buying the Kubota M6-101 DTC-F tractor bid by Wise
Equipment. Wise Equipment is the lowest bidder meeting specifications. The price bid is $65,561.47.
Beard Equipment offered a John Deere 5100E at a lower price but failed to meet specifications for transmission type,
tire size and operating weight.
Also, Beard Equipment offered a John Deere 5100M at a lower price which failed to meet specifications for transmission
type, and operating weight.
Kingline Equipment offered a New Holland T5.115 at a lower price which failed to meet specifications because the
tractor bid was an older year model.
Smith John Deere, Coastal Equipment, and Kingline Equipment each offered other tractors that met specifications but at
higher prices than the tractor offered by Wise Equipment.
