BACKGROUND: As part of the Board’s annual work plan, an objective was established to improve transparency by re-tooling the budget presentation and adoption process. The proposed budget presentation format is included in the attached sample template. This format would provide a summary of the department’s requested appropriations by operational function in addition to the program and performance detail. OPTIONS: Provide guidance as desired. RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff update for discussion purposes. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
