She will request the BCC Review and approve the 2016 – 2020 Local Plan for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services in Local Workforce Investment Area 2, Okaloosa and Walton Counties. Background: Okaloosa Walton Jobs & Education Partnership, Inc. d/b/a CareerSource Okaloosa Walton is the entity administering various workforce programs for the two counties. Recent passage of the federal Workforce Investment & Opportunity Act requires submitting a new Local Plan to CareerSource Florida, the governing body. The 2016-2020 Local Plan will be presented to the CareerSource Okaloosa Walton Board of Directors at the April 6, 2016 meeting, and will be forwarded immediately after, prior to the April 19th Okaloosa BCC meeting.
