BACKGROUND: Okaloosa Walton Jobs & Education Partnership, Inc. d/b/a CareerSource Okaloosa Walton is the entity administering various workforce programs for the two counties. Recent passage of the federal Workforce Investment & Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires submitting a new Local Plan to CareerSource Florida, the governing body. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends review and approval of the 2016 - 2020 Local Plan for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services in Local Workforce Investment Area 2, Okaloosa and Walton Counties.
