decreases in estimated revenues to more accurately reflect revenues; and increases or decreases in
appropriations to more accurately reflect estimated expenditures and/or better utilize funds for schools,
departments, and projects. These amendments facilitate district operations to occur in a positive
manner.
These amendments properly reflect the estimated revenue and appropriations. The amendments show
the estimated revenue and appropriations for each fund and provide a description of the amendments.

Mandated by Florida law, providers of services for children in programs
receiving subsidized child care funding must annually complete the School
Readiness Provider Application. The School Readiness Provider Contract
approved by The School Board of Okaloosa County on July 13, 2015 did not
include the child care program recently approved for Walker Elementary.
The State of Florida requires that a Corrective Action Plan be filed detailing
the circumstances of the recent approval of the new child care program at
Walker Elementary. A new contract is also required to be implemented as of
8/17/15, to include the following nine (9) elementary schools: Antioch
Elementary School, Bluewater Elementary School, Bob Sikes Elementary
School, Edge Elementary School, Northwood Elementary School, Plew
Elementary School, Riverside Elementary School, Walker Elementary School
and Wright Elementary School. This agreement with The Early Learning
Coalition of Okaloosa & Walton Counties will be in effect until June 30, 2016.
