SUBJECT: Information Update on the Crestview Courthouse Project and discussion
of interlocal agreement.

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Furthering the development of the project to reconstruct the
Crestview Courthouse the design team from Ajax, Inc. would like to present to the Board of
County Commissioners options for the appearance of the new Courthouse building. Additionally,
staff requests Board discussion on the adoption of an interlocal agreement for coordination of
permitting issues for the Crestview Courthouse.
BACKGROUND: Due to concerns as it relates to the existing Courthouse structure, the decision
was made to completely reconstruct the building. Staff and the design team met with the
Crestview Historical Preservation Board to discuss options for the building appearance and
would like to update the Board of County Commissioners with the progress of the project and
outcome of the meeting with the Historical Preservation Board.
OPTIONS: No action required on presentation; staff seeks input regarding the options
developed and will outline planned actions regarding the project and discussion of interlocal
agreement.
