The IRS requires that the School Board adopt a resolution that declares its intent to issue tax-exempt debt in the future for the various
projects identified in the resolution and allows the School Board to expend funds on hand that will then be “reimbursed” from the loan
proceeds. This resolution does not authorize the issuance of the debt and an additional resolution will have to be adopted in the future
that approves the projects, the total amount, the maturity date and the interest rate for the debt. This resolution is solely to declare the
School Board’s intent to satisfy IRS requirements. The resolution does not obligate the School Board to issue any debt or build any of
the Facilities identified in the resolution.
