All right. 4 We're going to call to order this meeting of the Emerald 5 Coast Tourist Development Council. And if we would, 6 let's all stand for the Pledge. 7 (The Pledge of Allegiance was recited in unison) 8 CHAIRMAN PETERSON: All right. We are going to 9 open this up to public comment. And again, let's limit 10 ourselves to three minutes if we do want to speak. And 11 we have a new reporter, a meeting reporter in lieu of a 12 court reporter. And so if you will -- whenever you do 13 come to the microphone to speak, please give your name. 14 If your name is not Smith or Jones, please spell for him 15 -- or her. 16 And with that I will open it. Does anyone have any 17 comments regarding today's agenda? 18 Okay, seeing none we're going to go to the council 19 members' minutes. And, Thom, do you have -- do you want 20 to start? 21 MR. GOSSOM: I'll start, but I don't have anything 22 today. 23 CHAIRMAN PETERSON: Well, that's a good start. 24 Nothing today? 25 MR. GOSSOM: (Shaking head negatively) nothing. I 3 will -- I do have -- unless it's somewhere else on the 4 agenda, I wanted to maybe acknowledge, if not read a 5 letter from -- 6 MR. DIXON: (Shaking head negatively). 7 CHAIRMAN PETERSON: -- Don Gaetz in response to the 8 -- wasn't a resolution -- yes, it was a resolution -- 9 regarding the six-laning of Highway 98 through parts of 10 Okaloosa and part of Walton County. I think we felt it 11 followed in the footsteps of the county with the 12 resolution as well. 13 And I'm not going to read it but I would 14 acknowledge that, you know, it has been received very 15 well, and hopefully that project will be -- you know, 16 there is funds, and hopefully that project will be under 17 way, in the not-too-distant future. All right. Let's go 18 to the minutes of the April 24th meeting, our last 19 scheduled monthly meeting. 20 Y'all have had the minutes, so I will be -- ask for 21 a motion to approve. 22 MR. JOYCE: There is a change needs to be made on 5 that. 6 CHAIRMAN PETERSON: Okay. 7 MS. JOYCE: I had it in our package as page 22, it 8 had me voting in favor of the chamber's increase, and I 9 actually voted against. 10 CHAIRMAN PETERSON: Okay, let's see. 11 MS. JOYCE: I had it as page 2 in my packet, but 12 looks like pages -- none have changed. 13 MR SCHROEDER: It's on page 19 now. 14 CHAIRMAN PETERSON: Page 19? 15 MR. SCHROEDER: And "ayes", it's Gossom, Rigdon and 16 Windes, and Peterson, and Joyce. 17 MS. JOYCE: And I actually voted no. 18 CHAIRMAN PETERSON: Okay. 19 MR. All 7 those in favor of the approving the TDC minutes last 8 meeting say aye. 9 (Ayes) 10 CHAIRMAN PETERSON: Anyone opposed?
