Okaloosa County Public Works State of Florida May 30, 2014 Bobby G. Kennedy Jr. 4135 Randi Road Crestview, Florida 32539 Re: Proposed Right-of Way Taking for Okaloosa Lane Parcel No.: 22-3N-23-0000-0060-0000 Dear Mr. Kennedy: The Okaloosa County Public Works Department has acquired official surveys and appraisals for the right-of-way needs associated with the Okaloosa Lane dirt-to-pave project. Okaloosa County will be improving the portion of Okaloosa Lane lying between the existing pavement at Serenity Lane and the existing pavement at Aplin Road. The proposed improvements will include Type F Curb & Gutter, 6’ sidewalks on the west side of the roadway, two new stormwater ponds and a new 34 foot concrete, single span bridge. The appraised value for the proposed right-of-way taking along this parcel is $2,140.00. A Warranty Deed has been prepared based on the attached survey and is included for your review. In order for the County to finalize the right-of-way acquisition phase and move forward with the project, we are asking all property owners to have the Warranty Deed signed, notarized and returned to our office no later than June 20th, 2014. Once the Warranty Deed has been executed, payment for the taking in the amount of the appraised value will be promptly made.
