RESOLUTION NO. 16-___ A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA, RECLASSIFYING A MEMBER OF THE OKALOOSA COUNTY TOURIST DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 125.0104, Florida Statutes, the Board of County Commissioners (“Board”) adopted Ordinance 89-23 in 1989 and established the Okaloosa County Tourist Development Council (“Council”); and WHEREAS, in Resolution 13-61, the Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners (“Board”) appointed members to serve on the Okaloosa County Tourist Development Council (“Council”); and WHEREAS, Melissa Matern was appointed by the Board as a Tourism Related Industry Member for a four (4) year term starting October 1, 2015 and ending September 30, 2019; and WHEREAS, Melissa Matern has accepted a position with ResortQuest; and WHEREAS, the Board now desires to reclassify Melissa Matern as a Lodging Industry Owner/Operator. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Okaloosa County, Florida, that: SECTION 1. RECITALS. The above recitals are true and correct and are hereby incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 2. APPOINTMENT OF LODGING INDUSTRY OWNER/OPERATOR COUNCIL MEMBER. The Board hereby reclassifies MELISSA MATERN to serve as a Lodging Industry Owner/Operator member of the Council for the remainder of a four (4) year term ending in September 2019. 1  SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Resolution shall become effective upon its approval. DONE AND ADOPTED in Okaloosa County, Florida, this 16th day of August, 2016.
