BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: August 16, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Ed Schroeder SUBJECT: TV Talent Renewal 6/27-12/26/16 DEPARTMENT: Tourist Development Department BCC DISTRICT: 2,4,5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval for payment of Sunspots Productions invoice # 77287 in the amount of $14,362.50 for television and pre-roll license renewal. BACKGROUND: Sunspots Productions was competitively procured under Peter Mayer task order 177 to provide audio and voice-over for two 30-second and two 15-second advertising spots used for television and pre-roll. Task order 177 authorized an initial 13-week license period; the original flight period was 4/4/16 - 6/26/16. On July 20, Peter Mayer notified the County that audio and voice-over licensing required renewal so the advertising spots could continue to be used for the upcoming fall, snowbird, and holiday campaigns. As the renewal period began in June and renewals are not provided for on an existing task order, Board approval for payment of the invoice is requested. Invoice 77287 is for the following:  two 13-week television renewals of the 30-second Couples & Family spots (6/27-12/26/16)  two 13-week television renewals of the 15-second Couples & Family spots (6/27-12/26/16)  two 13-week pre-roll renewals of the 30-second Couples & Family spots (6/27-12/26/16)  two 13-week pre-roll renewals of the 15-second Couples & Family spots (6/27-12/26/16)  one 13-week television for the 15-second Family spot not included on initial invoice 76062 for original flight period (4/4-6/26/16) OPTIONS: Approve or Disapprove RECOMMENDATION: Approve payment of Sunspots Productions invoice # 77287 in the amount of $14,362.50 for television and pre-roll license renewal.
