BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: March 17, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Special Event Permit - Easter Egg Hunt DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: Two STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Impact Life Church is requesting the use of Ross Marler Park for an Easter Egg Hunt. BACKGROUND: County Ordinance #13-07 (regulation of county recreational areas, including parks and beaches) addresses Special Events at county parks, beaches or recreational areas within Okaloosa County. A request has been received from Impact Life Church for use of Ross Marler Park for an Easter Egg Hunt. The event will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. In accordance with approved BCC policy, the Special Event fees have been waived due to the non-profit status of Impact Life Church. All required documentation has been provided. This request has been reviewed by Public Works, Public Safety and the Sheriff’s Office. OPTIONS: Approve / Disapprove RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve the request for a Special Event Permit as submitted by Impact Life Church. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
