BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: January 6, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Elliot Kampert SUBJECT: Hattie's Grove Subdivision - Final Plat Approval DEPARTMENT: Growth Management BCC DISTRICT: District 5 - Windes STATEMENT OF ISSUE: To review the final plat for Hattie’s Grove, a proposed 23-lot, single-family residential subdivision as submitted by Shannon D. Clatchey with rare Earth Surveying and Mapping, Inc. On behalf of the property owner, Okaloosa Walton Development Company. The property is currently zoned Residential 2 (R 2) and the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) designation is Medium Density Residential (MDR). The property is located south of Bullock Boulevard, north of King Street, Niceville. Property contains 4.66 acres more or less. BACKGROUND: The Development Order for Hattie’s Grove was issued on August 21, 2014; all approvals are on file. The proposed final plat is consistent with the Okaloosa County Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code. Staff has no objection to the approval of the final plat as submitted. OPTIONS: The Board may approve the plat for recording, or may withhold approval. RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends that the Board approve the plat for the Hattie's Grove subdivision.
