911 Communications Division
The Okaloosa County Department of Public Safety is seeking a vendor to perform maintenance
and support on all components of the E911 system/network. Vendor shall be responsible for all
management, supervision, technicians, technical requirements of manufacturer, system
engineering, system integration, remote monitoring, configuration, or any other required item for
the proper function of the IP-based, host/remote E911 call taking system for the Public Safety
Answering Points identified within Okaloosa County, Florida. The Vendor shall further be
responsible to ensure any additional equipment installed is tested and deemed compatible with
existing equipment. The Vendor shall comply in accordance with standards and guidelines
outlined in the State of Florida E911 Plan.
Main Components include:
1. Solacom I/P Based Selective Router
2. Cassidian Patriot E911 Controllers
3. Datamaster E911 Databases
4. 22 HP PC’s running Cassidian Sentinel Calltaking Software and Vela Mapping Program
5. 6 HP laptops running Cassidian Sentinel Calltaking Software and Vela Mapping Program
6. Sentinel Statistics and Solacom Higher Ground Management Information Systems
Vendor shall be able to:
1. Provide warranty and/or hardware support on all ‘Main Components’ equipment.
2. Provide software support (including virus protection, firmware program updates and
upgrades on purchased products) on all ‘Main Components’ equipment.
3. Meet 2 hour on-site response time for critical outages or interruptions of service.
4. Perform preventative maintenance on all ‘Main Components’ equipment.
5. Provide certified, trained technicians to perform support and maintenance on the E911
equipment/network.
6. Assist with functionality of 911 interfaces to Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and
logging recorder.
7. Ensure network clock is functional and synchronized with all 911 equipment.
