BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: September 15, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Sunil Harman SUBJECT: Approval for Destin Executive Airport Signage Agreement with Destin Jet DEPARTMENT: Airport BCC DISTRICT: 5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Department of Airports requests approval by the Board of County Commissioners for the Destin Executive Airport monument signage, updating the new name of the Airport. BACKGROUND: On January 13, 2015, the Board approved the name change of the Destin Airport. Destin Jet, the Airport's FBO has contracted with a sign company to update the monument signage at the Airport with a new modern design with the Board Approved name change. Attached is the design drawing and site plan for the proposed new signage. The cost for the County's share for the signage is $6,189.00. OPTIONS: Approve, Reject or Table RECOMMENDATIONS: It is Staff's recommendation that the Board approve the Department of Airports request to replace the monument sign updating the new name of the Airport and approval of payment for the County's share of the cost of the new sign. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
