Meeting
Type : Action (Consent)
Recommended Action : Motion to approve the
adoption of middle school and
high school courses.
Public Content
The STEMM Academy needed a course approved for the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year. Due to a mid
summer change in administration, the course was submitted to the Office of Curriculum & Instruction on August
6 resulting in the late submission for the Board agenda.
The office of Curriculum & Instruction is taking this opportunity to also request Board approval of two Pre-AICE
courses that will give high schools that offer AICE curriculum some relief from class size requirements. These
Pre-AICE courses have been removed from class size requirements in a recent release from DOE. Schools may
be able to substitute these courses in place of World History Honors and Biology I Honors which still fall under
class size.
