BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: September 1, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Zan Fedorak SUBJECT: Request approval to award to UniFirst Corporation DEPARTMENT: Purchasing BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to award a bid to UniFirst Corporation for the uniform and supply rental for the Water & Sewer Department and the Emerald Coast Convention Center. BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: The Water & Sewer Department and Emerald Coast Convention Center requested to solicit for uniform and supply rental services. The services will provide replacement, repair and cleaning of uniforms and other supplies. Two (2) proposals were received and have been reviewed by Water & Sewer and Emerald Coast Convention staff. It was determined that UniFirst Corporation was most responsive and had itemized pricing that was within the budget of both departments for uniform and supply rental service. Staff requests approval to award to UniFirst Corporation for the uniform and supply rental for the Water & Sewer Department and the Emerald Coast Convention Center. The proposed contract will be brought back before the Board for approval. OPTIONS: Approve/Deny to award the bid to UniFirst Corporation for the uniform and supply rental for the Water & Sewer Department and Emerald Coast Convention Center. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval to award to UniFirst Corporation for the uniform and supply rental for the Water & Sewer Department and Emerald Coast Convention Center.
