Thank you for your assistance! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding this matter. Nina Nina Verzosa Transit Planner/ In-house consultant Florida Department of Transportation Transit Office . 850-414-4217 nina.verzosa@dot.state.fl.us From: "Coven, Ed" <Ed.Coven@dot.state.fl.us> Date: March 30, 2015 at 3:03:19 PM EDT Subject: NTD Access Request Dear Florida Transit Agency: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) uses data from the National Transit Database (NTD) for several purposes including the allocation of State Block Grant Funds, the tracking of statewide performance measures, and the publication of several documents including the Florida Transit Handbook. To facilitate the acquisition of these data without having to burden the transit agencies with numerous data requests throughout each year, several years ago the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) granted FDOT viewer access to all NTD reports for Florida NTD reporters via the legacy NTD online reporting system (for report years 2002 through 2013). This is how we have been collecting your NTD data for the past several years. With the impiementation of the new NTD 2.0, the online reporting software is no longer a stand-alone system but is now integrated with the larger federal government system. Under this system, viewing access can only be granted to specific individuals and only with the agency’s consent. So, we are asking that you please fill out and return the attached NTD Access Request form to grant access to the Public Transit Office as well as 1 individuals at the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) who are under contract to us to collect and maintain these data. Please be assured that with the exception of the log-on process, this viewing access is no different from previous years. We are not asking for any new access, only to be able to continue the viewing access we have had previously. After the attached form is completed and returned, FTA will add your agency to the list of those able to be viewed by the individuals listed in the form. Please send the completed access request form to Nina Verzosa at nina.verzosa@dot.state.fl.us by May 1,2015. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
