BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: June 2, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Okaloosa Lane Design Task Order Extensions (C06-1346-PW, TO 47 & 53) DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: 1 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Due to the amount of time required for R/W acquisition, HDR Engineering, Inc. has been unable to complete the bid related portion of their scope of services. Therefore, the parent contract and associated task orders need to be extended to allow for future invoicing. BACKGROUND: Task Orders 47 & 53 with HDR Engineering, Inc. (Contract #C06-1346-PW) were previously extended with an end date of March 31, 2015. Due to the additional time it is taking to acquire right-of-way, an additional extension with an end date of December 31, 2015 is being requested. This request is for additional time only and does not increase the original Not-To- Exceed amounts of $64,610.10 (TO47) and $13,209.60 (TO53). Approval of this request amends the contract termination date by providing an additional extension and will reflect the specific task orders requiring the additional time. The task orders will be completed in scope and paid at the rates so established under the parent contract from which the task orders were written. No new work will be assigned and the parent contract will expire when work under the assigned task orders has been completed. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the extension of Contract C06-1346-PW, Task Orders 47 & 53 to December 31, 2015 for Design Services.
