EPA encourages and enhances the study of mathematics and science for educational and research activities. Under this agreement, Eglin employees can promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) with the students in grades K-12. Volunteers interact with student through education outreach programs, mentorship and other activities. This gives students a unique opportunity to interact with personnel or access facilities not normally available in their educational environment. This agreement also allows using Department of Defense (DoD) laboratory research or scientific equipment by the Educational Institution. The original agreement was signed on May 14, 2012 and was updated (extended) through June 2016. This is a request to extend the EPA for an additional 36 months beyond the original termination in June 2016. This modification will extend teh original term through June 2019.
