STATEMENT OF ISSUE: [PUR] Request approval to award to Energy Systems Southeast,
LLC (ESSE) for equipment only for the Camp Rudder generator & automatic transfer switch
(ATS) project. (District: 3)
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: The Water & Sewer Department requested to solicit for
equipment only for the Camp Rudder Generator & ATS project. This equipment included a
generator and automatic transfer switch. Submittals were due on July 29, 2015 and five (5) bids
were received. Water & Sewer staff and Polyengineering, Inc. as the technical consultant have
reviewed the bids and determined that Systems Southeast, LLC (ESSE) was fully responsive and
the lowest bid at $40,697. Staff requests approval to award to Systems Southeast, LLC (ESSE)
for the amount of $40,697 for the equipment only for the Camp Rudder Generator & ATS
project. A requisition will be processed when/if the Board approves the award of the bid.
Funding is available for this purchase.
