STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Board is requested to approve InDyne Quote #004/PO
#E144032) for 12 strands of Fiber Optic Cable from the Eglin North Gate Splice Box to Duke
Field via Building 5105 in the amount of $619,768.00.
Inclusive within the Quote are payments at various milestones. The start date for the project is
defined as the date of initial payment.
BACKGROUND: The Board has pursued the construction of the Fiber Optic network over the
past several years. The funding provided through this partnership will enhance the originally
designed capabilities of the Fiber Optic network and the partnership formed will foster a win-win
relationship as Eglin Air Force Base and Okaloosa County work to accomplish their respective
missions.
This Quote has been through the Purchasing review process.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove
RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve Quote #004/PO #E144032 for the Eglin AFB - Okaloosa
County Joint Fiber Project (Eglin North Gate to Duke Field) in the amount of $619,768.00 and
authorize the Chairman to sign Quote #004 and PO #E144032.
