The Florida Education Finance Program (FEFP) contains the Teacher Salary Increase Allocation (TSIA), a categorical allocation focused on
increasing compensation for full-time classroom teachers. The allocation for fiscal year 2021-2022 for the District and charter schools consists
of two parts:
Maintenance Allocation - $5,513,725
Additional Allocation - $551,372
The maintenance allocation must be used by the District and charter schools to continue to fund the increase in teacher salary that was made
in fiscal year 2020-2021 using the original TSIA allocation. The original TSIA allocation allowed the District to raise its minimum base salary to
$44,300.
The additional allocation of $551,372, less charter school allocations of $30,978, nets $520,394 for the District's use. This allocation must be

maximum achievable based on the allocation.
20% - Increase salaries for full-time classroom and certified prekindergarten teachers who did not receive an increase as part of the
80% and other full-time instructional personnel pursuant to section 1012.01(2)(b)-(d), Florida Statutes (student personnel services,
librarians/media specialists, and other instructional staff).
The TSIA funds may not be used for any other purpose. In addition, school districts and charter schools must maintain the new minimum base
salary in subsequent fiscal years.
In order to receive the TSIA additional allocation, each school district and charter school must develop a salary distribution plan that clearly
delineates the planned distribution of funds. The plans must
