STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval for a one-year contract extension to Aramark
contract C14-2185-TDD for the provision of food and beverage/catering services at the Emerald
Coast Convention Center.
BACKGROUND: The Aramark contract provides for a total of three (3) one-year extensions
beyond the initial term expiration of June 2, 2015. The first extension was for an additional
seven (7) months through January 2, 2016 to align contract renewal periods with the calendar
year to minimize the impact on event operations at the Emerald Coast Convention Center. The
new local Aramark General Manager and staff are working well with convention center staff and
clients. ECCC staff recommends executing a one (1) year contract extension through January 2,
2017.
This contract renewal will be presented to the Tourist Development Council at its December 10
meeting.
OPTIONS: Approve or Deny
RECOMMENDATION: Approve a one-year contract extension through January 2, 2017 to
Aramark contract C14-2185-TDD for the provision of food and beverage/catering services at the
Emerald Coast Convention Center.
