BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: July 6, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Zan Fedorak SUBJECT: Request approval of the 2nd Amendment to the Matrix Design Group Contract DEPARTMENT: Purchasing BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of the Second Amendment to the Matrix Design Group contract to extend the expiration month to month to allow the completion of the remaining scope of work. BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On May 2, 2013 the Board approved a contract with Matrix Design Group to serve as our RESTORE Act Management Consultants. The contract scope of work included the submission of the draft Multi-Year Implementation Plan (MYIP) to the Treasury. The scope of work also included making any adjustments to the MYIP that the Treasury directed after their review. The plan was submitted to the Treasury nearly two months ago but, to date, a response has not been received. Matrix has requested a no-cost extension to their contract to allow time to make any revisions to the MYIP as requested by Treasury. The contract will be extended month to month until such time the scope of work is complete. Staff requests Board authorization for the Chairman to sign the amendment. OPTIONS: Approve/Deny the Second Amendment to the Matrix Design Group contract to extend the contract month to month to allow time to fully complete the scope of work. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the Second Amendment to the Matrix Design Group contract to extend the contract month to month to allow time to fully complete the scope of work.
