2012. Sunny Isles Beach has had five city managers in the last six years. (c) At the request of the city, the search was elongated by 10 days. (d) Mr. Cooper left the City on December 31, 2011 to care for his spouse who was recently diagnosed with a very, very serious illness. We repeated the search at no cost to the City. (e) At the request of the city, the search was elongated by 7 days. (f) The Village delayed the search two weeks while finalizing its budget. During the delay, several of the semi-finalists dropped out. We added candidates, but had to perform their background work. Ultimately the Village selected one of our original candidates but the search took 131 days.
