Bids were opened on November 15, 2012. Bids were received from six (6) companies (see attached tabulation). Thompson Pump (Pensacola, FL) is the low bidder meeting specifications in the amount of $97,750.00. BACKGROUND: This pump will serve as a supplemental back-up pump in the event of an emergency at the Main Island Lift Station. Because of its portability, it could be used at other locations if needed. Funding (see attached) is available in the current FY 12/13 budget. OPTIONS: Award or Reject. Neal to Phil Robbins/Armada Systems for Block 4 Lot 1 at the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach Airport. The BCC is also requested to authorize its Chairman to sign the mortgage executed by Mr. Robbins with CCB Community Bank. BACKGROUND: Mr. Neal previously entered into a ground lease agreement for Block 4 Lot 1 at the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach Airport and now desires to assign his responsibilities to Phil Robbins/Armada Systems. Mr. Robbins is taking a mortgage from CCB Community Bank. The bank is requesting to be notified in writing of any default occurring under this lease and the right, but not the obligation, to cure the default within a reasonable time after delivery of such notice. CCB Community Bank also requests the County acknowledge its right to take possession of the leasehold interest in the event of Mr. Robbins’ default. Assignment of Lease transfer fee has been received and the certificate of insurance is attached along with the contract and lease internal coordination sheet. OPTIONS: Approve, Reject, Table RECOMMENDATIONS: It is staff's recommendation that the Board approve the Assignment of Lease as described above.
