STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Presentation of quarterly reports on tourism promotion and
marketing campaigns as required by Ordinance 16-13.
BACKGROUND: Financial and marketing updates are provided monthly to the Tourist
Development Council (TDC). The financial update aggregates budget to actual information for
the tourist development department overall, as well as by categories within each bed tax
percentage (the “level of restriction”). A financial report as of September 14 has been presented.
Due to the timing of payments for strategic marketing plan expenditures, a comprehensive report
for September 30 quarter-end is not yet available. The Tourist Development Council approved
the Financial Update at its September 22 meeting.
The marketing and sales update for the quarter ending September 30 summarizes the activities of
the advertising agency, convention & visitors bureau, and convention center. The Tourist
Development Council was apprised of these activities during the quarter.
