Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow —
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if Hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand —
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep — while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

Publishing at Crypt of Echoes

Every edition keeps its context.

Prepare and credit

Each edition is intended to identify its language and variety, translator, source text, version, and review status. Written translations and audio/video contributions include the contributor’s chosen public credit.

Review before publication

The planned publishing process checks language quality and the contributor’s publication permission. A draft or a saved permission checkbox does not count as a published edition.

Publish and connect

Approved editions will connect to the English source and project dashboard, with poem PDFs, teaching material, and reviewed recordings where available. Progress totals will count published work separately from drafts.

Current preview: one unreviewed Spanish draft; zero published translations.

This package is a local design preview. Written and recorded contributions remain in the browser on this device. Live submission receipt, rights review, editorial approval, and public publication are not connected.
