BACKGROUND: At the request of the Board, staff researched the feasibility of acquiring a .Gov domain type for the County's website and associated email system. In order to secure a domain with this extension, the Board needs to submit a letter of request to Verisign, Inc. . OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove request RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends approval and authorization for the Chairman to execute a letter requesting reservation of "okaloosa.gov" domain name for future county use.
