STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to award to Emergency Standby Power for the
annual maintenance and repair of the emergency generators.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On December 9, 2015 bids were received for annual
maintenance and repair of emergency generators. Facility Maintenance staff have reviewed the
three (3) bids which were received and determined that Emergency Standby Power was the
lowest most responsive bid for the annual price of $27,123.05. Upon approval of the award of
the bid, staff will move forward with preparation of the contract. The contract will provide
maintenance, repair, and emergency call-out assistance for generators in various locations
throughout the County. The proposed contract will be brought back before the Board for
approval.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny the bid award to Emergency Standby Power for the annual
maintenance and repair of the emergency generators for an annual price of $27,123.05.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the award to Emergency Standby
Power for the annual maintenance and repair of the emergency generators for an annual price of
$27,123.05.
