BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: April 7, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Rick Owen SUBJECT: Approval to schedule Bingo Ordinance Workshop DEPARTMENT: County Administrator BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Staff requests Board approval to schedule a workshop for the purpose of discussing proposed bingo ordinance. BACKGROUND: At the March 3, 2015 BCC meeting, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office proposed a county ordinance pertaining to the regulation of establishments conducting bingo events. The Board approved a motion to schedule a workshop for further discussion of this issue. After review, staff has determined that a workshop for this purpose could occur prior to the commencement of the BCC meeting in the Water & Sewer Building in Fort Walton Beach, on April 21, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. . OPTIONS: Approve/disapprove scheduling of workshop RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends Board approve scheduling of workshop for discussion of bingo ordinance for 5:30 p.m. on April 21, 2015, in the Board Chambers of the Water & Sewer Building in Fort Walton Beach. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
