GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
2007/ 2008
A Neighborhood Committee will be formed which consists of 1 representative
from each of the 11 neighborhoods. The agenda for the Neighborhood
Committee Meeting will usually consist of:
A guest speaker or focus on a particular issue common to all
neighborhoods;
Report by each neighborhood;
Staff Update on neighborhood issues; and
Public Input
Each Neighborhood will be asked to appoint one representative and 2 alternates
with the intention that each neighborhood will always be represented on the
Committee.
The Committee will meet the second Thursday of the month at 6 p. m. at the
Senior Center on Memorial Drive.
One newsletter will be developed each month that covers information for all the
neighborhoods as well as individual neighborhood issues. It will be mailed the
last week of the month and should be received by the 1 st of the month.
The representative and alternates will be asked to hold a neighborhood meeting
each month on the regularly scheduled meeting date:
Beal Parkway 1st Tues 6 pm FWB Library
Elliott Point/Ferry Park 2nd Monday 6:30 pm Church of Christ
W. E. Combs 2nd Thurs. 6: 30 pm UWF
NW/Oakland/ S. Bayou 3rd Monday 6 pm Senior Center
Kenwood 3rd Tues. 6 pm KES
Seabreeze 3rd Thurs. 6 pm Senior Center
East Miracle Strip 4th Tues. 5: 30 pm Heritage Center
Garniers 4th Thurs. 6 pm Grace Tabernacle
At the first Neighborhood Committee meeting the representatives will be shown
how to use Yahoo groups and how to notify their residents of the meetings so
each neighborhood will be organized and ready to Rally their Neighbors!!
