As | mentioned, | have been keeping up to date with the latest developments regarding the beach cleaning bid. It’s unfortunate that your department has been thrown into the task of maintaining the beach in such a quick fashion. We would be happy to assist the County in any way we can either by a short term rental or possible purchase. Should the County decide to move forward with either of these options, | would be happy to come down and perform an on-site installation and training session for your staff. Here are the options we can offer: Option 1- Rental of a Factory Refurbished Barber Surf Rake, Model 600HD with new Sanitizing Conveyor technology with the option to purchase at the end of the rental term. This unit has been completely factory refurbished and outfitted with a brand new ‘S’ belt conveyor system. We introduced our ‘S’ belt technology a few years back- the ‘S’ belt has been designed to allow the Surf Rake to clean deeper and excel in the removal of small material like cigarette butts, bottle caps, glass etc without the removal of residual sand. Just like the older Surf Rake technology, the ‘S’ belt is the most efficient beach cleaner method of sea weed removal. Rental for 1* month $6,000.00 (this first month price includes round trip shipping to and from our Connecticut factory) this rental can continue on additional monthly terms for $2,500.00 per month. Should the County opt to purchase the Surf Rake unit after the rental term(s) Barber will apply 50% of the rental fee toward the purchase price of $39,000.00 of this particular refurbished unit. | have attached some photos of the Refurbished Surf Rake. This unit includes a hot dip galvanized frame, bucket and moldboard and a rear mounted finisher. Option 2- Purchase of a new Barber Surf Rake, Model 600HD equipped with a hot dip galvanized frame and rear mounted finisher: $51,200.00 — delivered price. Price includes a two year all inclusive warranty which covers all components including all wear items. Models and Capacities: Our Model 600HD has a seven foot cleaning width, and a three cubic yard hopper that can dump into a truck or dumpster to a height of nine feet. | would also like to note that we do manufacture a medium size Surf Rake unit- the Model 400HD. The 400HD has a six foot cleaning width, two cubic yard hopper and a 9’ dump height.
