City of Fort Walton Beach Americas Beautiful Be ete Ordinance 1162 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 220, COUNCIL, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF FORT WALTON BEACH, BY ADDING COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE; AND PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION I. That Chapter 220, Council, of the Codified Ordinances of Fort Walton Beach is hereby amended by adding the following: COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE Members of Council shall meet as a Committee of the Whole on the Monday preceding each regular Council meeting. The Mayor Pro-Tem shall preside as Committee Chairperson. The Committee shall act on matters before Council under conditions of freedom approximating those of a standing or special committee. The Chairperson shall establish and announce a reasonable time for the meetings. The Committee of the Whole shall make recommendations to Council. SECTION II.
