STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Board of County Commissioners is requested to approve the
proposed list of Aviation Projects Priorities for Fiscal years 2015 to 2019
BACKGROUND: The Okaloosa-Walton Transportation Planning Organization (OWTPO)
provides transportation planning input into the Florida Transportation Plan and updates the
information on an annual basis. The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is the short
term five year "snapshot" showing the federal state and local funding sources for each prioritized
project. Once approved, aviation priority projects are entered into the Joint Aviation Capital
Improvement Program (JACIP) system and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)
Work Program for funding and are funded on a priority basis as funding is available. Attached is
the Airport Department's list of proposed projects for Board consideration and approval. The
OWTPO will meet later in September to adopt the plan.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Airport staff recommends approval of the proposed aviation project
priorities.
