STATEMENT OF ISSUE: (FM) Request BCC approval of funding source for the DAG Design
Services Contract for the Sheriff's New Shalimar Building.
BACKGROUND: The Board approved the Design Services Contract with DAG in the amount of
$80,000 for the Sheriff's new Shalimar building at the April 1, 2014 BCC meeting. However, no
funding source was identified at that meeting.
The Board set aside $400,000 for Land Acquisitions in the 301-3160-561100 account. This
account has no current encumbrances; therefore, some or all of the fund may be made available
for current projects.
RECOMMENDATIONS: (FM) The BCC is requested to approve a budget transfer in the
amount of $100,000 from the 301-3160-561100 account to be used to fund the DAG Design
Services Contract for the Sheriff's New Shalimar Building and other incidental engineering
expenditures.
