Scope of Services
a,
The following is a scope of services which defines those tasks necessary to complete the design

a)
a,
The Consultant shall prepare concept drawings and design documents for the enhancements of in
Carson Drive and 3rd Street. The project limits were classified into three segments. Segment 1
is along Carson Drive from 3rd Street to Hollywood Boulevard and includes a section of 3rd
Street from Harbeson Avenue to Carson Drive. Segment 2 is on Carson Street from 2nd Street
to 3rd Street. Segment 3 is on 3rd Street from Beal Parkway ( SR 189) to Harbeson Avenue.
These projects will consist of a conceptual phase and a design phase. The conceptual phase
will include developing alternative design concepts, public meetings, and cost estimates. The
design phase will consist of preparing construction drawings and permitting for the selected
alterative concept. This project will provide on- street parking, pedestrian sidewalks, lighting, o
site furnishings, landscape, and irrigation. The existing travel lanes will be reduced to 10 or 11
foot and minor drainage improvements will be constructed to treat the additional pavement and 1--
attenuate runoff. A Northwest Florida Water Management District ( NWFWMD) may be
require a stormwater permit for these improvements. However, it is anticipated that no wetland r,
permit will be required.
To accomplish the objectives outlined above in a manner that meets the City' s requirements,
the following scope items have been identified.
