rehabilitation;
2. 1. 4. Whether the area contains sites or parts of sites suitable for limited recreational
open space, cultural, or historical preservation purposes.
2. 2. Staff has evaluated each of the conditions and determined that the site meets the
criteria. The area is large enough to be redeveloped by the private sector into a low
density single- family residential subdivision, but small enough to maintain a focused
vision for the property. It has reasonable potential for economic development activities
given that it is currently vacant and has room enough to develop a small park or area for
open space in conjunction with single- family residential development.
2. 3. Once the property is designated, the City will enter into a Brownfield Site
Rehabilitation Agreement ( BSRA) with the Florida Department of Environmental
Protection. The approved remedial action plan will be prepared and implemented with
the goal of ultimately redeveloping the property for its best use.
3. FINANCIAL INFORMATION:
3. 1. The costs associated with this resolution include the costs for advertising the two public
hearings, which was approximately $480.
