sv WHEREAS, the staff of the Fort Walton Beach Library provides services to include children' s 3 programs, adult learning opportunities, computer assistance, reference service, and a welcoming smile; and cJ WHEREAS, the Fort Walton Beach Library functions as a member of the Okaloosa County Public A Library Cooperative to continually expand offerings to citizens both in print and electronic formats; and ` o2 Z WHEREAS, the Fort Walton Beach Library circulates over 130,000 items each year to library patrons free of charge, and n WHEREAS, libraries throughout the United States of America support the rights of free speech, the freedom to read, and the right to engage in thoughtful public discourse. NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mike Anderson, Mayor of the City of Fort Walton Beach, do hereby declare the week of April 8 — 14th to be NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK in celebration of all that libraries bring to our country and to our city.
