Dr. Houghton asked Public Works Director if it would
be opening a can of worms if the reciprocity clause
was removed from the ordinance.
Public Works Director replied, as long as you keep
the provision and monitoring of the Block test,
I don' t really think you will.

Mr. Hill expressed his feelings about Pensacola not
having a reciprocity agreement with Fort Walton
Beach, stating that he does not feel it is fair for
Fort Walton to accept licenses from other areas and
them not accept our licenses.
Dr. Houghton said, I understand your point, but when
we have
skilled people come into the area and
require that they take the Block test, which Block
monitors, I can' t see how we can refuse someone who
passed it. I would like to spearhead a drive to
keep talldng to Pensacola, but I feel if a person
is qualified he should be able to be in business.
Mr. Rigdon said he would like to see the Mayor
write a letter to Pensacola explaining this to them
and asking them to reconsider. He so moved that
a letter be sent to City of Pensacola. Motion was
seconded and carried unanimous ly.
