Mr. budget lS
provided for the marketing expenses or up front costs in
preparing a piece of property for sale. The City Manager
advised staff will provide Council a list of surplus
property along with a recommendation on how to get rid of
them. Mr. Carnathan said there may be a number of expenses
up front, i. e. title work, legal advice, soilsampling, and
a number of expenses up front before legally putting the
property on the market; and asked staff, between now and the
public hearings, to have an idea what might be encountered
and a way to address the issues and get some general
pricings so if the City has to face the issues there is some
provision to cover them so the City can move forward. Mr.
Carnathan requested staff to have some way to address that
before or during the budget hearings.
Mr. Carnathan
requested Council be provided a copy of the
surplus property list, to include every piece of surplus
property in the City not being used so Council can decide
which properties are to be sold. He also asked staff to
advise when they will have the information to Council.
ANNEXATION Mr. Carnathan wished to know when the annexation report will
be given to Council. Lockwood Wernet, Human Resources
Director, reported they are negotiating with UWF for another
intern at the same cost since the first intern was unable to
complete the study due to maternity leave.
PAY CLASSIFICATION Mr. Watson wished to know when the Personnel Ordinance STUDY
with thejob classifications and recommended pay scales will
be provided. The City Manager advised the study has not
been received, but as soon as it is received he will prepare
a staff report and provide it to Council.
