BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: August 4, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Elliot Kampert SUBJECT: Gwenhaven Townhomes - Final Plat Approval DEPARTMENT: Growth Management BCC DISTRICT: 2 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: To review the final plat for Gwenhaven Townhomes, a proposed 16 lot single family attached townhome development as submitted by Mark Siner with Choctaw Engineering, agent on behalf of the property owners Jerry Andrews and David Locht. The property is currently zoned Residential 2 (R 2) and the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) designation is Medium Density Residential (MDR). The property is located at the southwest corner of David Street and Scranton Street, Fort Walton Beach. Property contains 1.24 acres more or less. BACKGROUND: The Development Order (DO) for Gwenhaven Townhomes was issued on January 29, 2015; all approvals are on file. The proposed final plat is consistent with the Okaloosa County Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code. Staff has no objection to the approval of the final plat as submitted. OPTIONS: The Board may approve the final plat for recording or may withhold approval. RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends that the Board approve the final plat for Gwenhaven Townhomes.
