The present ordinance charges for water service as follows:
(1) First 4,000 gallons per month or less:
(a) Residential customers $4.00
(b) Commercial customers 4.75
Next 6,000 gallons per month, per 100 gallons .07
Next 40 , 000 i a tt w tt uw . 05
Over 50 , 000 au " 1 wt iw uw ~035
The attached recommended ordinance drops the charge shown above
for users who use over 40,000 and over 50,000. The charge for
the first 10,000. gallons stays the same and the bulk of our
customers will not be affected by this increase.
Cost of producing water has increased from $.34 per thousand
gallons in 1979 to $.39. per thousand gallons in 1980. Increased
fuel and labor costs are primarily to blame.
Recommend approval of the attached proposed ordinance.
