RESOLUTION 02- 16.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF THE
CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL ACTION PLAN AND AN
APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT FUNDS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
SIGN THE GRANT AGREEMENT; PROVIDING THE
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Walton Beach is eligible to apply for funds under the U. S.
Block Grant
Department of Housing and Urban Development's ( HUD) Community Development
CDBG) program; and
WHEREAS, HUD requires that the City execute a Grant Agreement following approval of the
City' s application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION I. That the City Manager is authorized to submit the Consolidated
Annual Action Plan and an application for CDBG funds in the manner and format prescribed by
HUD, in the amount of $ 213, 000 for Program Year 2002 ( Fiscal Year 2002- 2003).
SECTION II. That the City Manager is authorized to execute the subsequent
Grant Agreement when presented by HUD.
SECTION III. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval
by the Council and signature by the Mayor.
